To ensure that AAA-affiliated ‘Approved Auto Repair’ and ‘Approved Auto Body’ shops comply with their AAA program standards. Also both maintain our working relationship with current affiliated shops, and develop the AAA repair facility network in targeted areas.
DUTIES:
- Investigate and mediate complaints against AAR\AAB facilities according to complaint resolution procedures per AAA National standards. Perform on site inspections for new and existing facilities in a timely manner. Prepare and present new facility applications and support data to the AAA task force committee. Facilitate meetings when required with AAR\AAB facility owners and managers. Advise management and make written recommendations to management regarding any facility that is substandard in any area of the approval criteria.
- Prospect for new AAR\AAB facilities statewide as directed by Staff Administrator.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Colorado Driver’s License and MVR that complies with AAA underwriting standards. Strong automotive repair facility background, with five years of ‘hands on’ experience as an automotive technician and three years management and/or customer relations experience. Must be currently ASE certified, with a minimum of A6 (electrical/electronic systems) and A8 (engine performance). Prefer additional certifications. Strong negotiation skills and objectivity in decision making. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and computer literacy. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend, holiday, and shift work. Travel overnight as required throughout Colorado to inspect and prospect for new AAR\AAB facilities. Must become knowledgeable regarding AAA’s Approved Auto Repair Quality Standards.
